FAQ - Prints are corrupted

Not all PRN files are equal, there are many different formats depending on the printer driver you used to create the file. Frogmore Raw Print sends the print file directly to the printer unchanged. This means the file needs to be formatted for the printer you are using.

There is can be some flexibility, for instance most HP PCL compatible printers will print PRN files created with another PCL printer driver, the same applies to PostScript printers.

On the other hand there are some types of driver which are very device specific so for instance a print file created with an Epson inkjet printer driver will not work with a HP inkjet printer.

If you are getting corrupted output then it is almost certainly because the format of your PRN file isn't compatible with the printer you are using.
